This Privacy Policy explains how My DJ Bookings collects, uses, stores, shares and protects information when you use the application, website and related services.

My DJ Bookings is designed to help DJs manage bookings, promoters and clients, invoices, payments and related business information.

1. Information you provide

Depending on the features you choose to use, My DJ Bookings may process information including:

My DJ Bookings does not collect or track your device's precise GPS location.

Location information stored in the app relates to venues and addresses that you enter or select for your bookings.

2. Account and authentication information

An email address is required to create and maintain a My DJ Bookings account.

My DJ Bookings uses Amazon Web Services (AWS), including AWS authentication services, to securely manage user accounts and authentication.

Your email address may be used to send essential service communications including account confirmation messages, verification codes, password reset messages and important account-related notifications.

Authentication information is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

3. Banking and payment information

Adding banking information is optional.

Banking details are used only to provide invoice and payment-related functionality requested by you.

Depending on your country, banking information may include the account holder name, bank name, account number, sort code, routing number, institution number, transit number, BSB, IBAN or SWIFT/BIC.

Banking information may be displayed on invoices that you generate so that your clients can use the payment instructions you have provided.

Banking information is not used for advertising, tracking or profiling.

Information transmitted between My DJ Bookings and its cloud services is protected using encrypted network connections.

Where sensitive banking information is stored locally on your device, it is kept separately from the application's ordinary offline data cache using secure device storage.

My DJ Bookings may use supported device security features, such as Face ID, biometrics or your device passcode, before revealing or changing sensitive banking information.

4. Online payments

Online payments are optional.

Payment functionality is only used when you enable or choose to use the relevant feature.

My DJ Bookings may use GoCardless to provide supported online payment functionality.

Information necessary to create, process or track a payment may be exchanged with GoCardless when the payment feature is used.

GoCardless processes payment information in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy.

My DJ Bookings may store payment status information so that the relevant invoice can be shown as outstanding or paid.

Payment information is not used by My DJ Bookings for advertising or profiling.

5. Contacts, photos and device permissions

My DJ Bookings requests access to device features only when required for functionality that you choose to use.

Contacts

If you choose to import a promoter or client from your device contacts, My DJ Bookings may request permission to access your contacts.

Contact access is used to allow you to select information to import into My DJ Bookings.

My DJ Bookings does not automatically copy or upload your entire address book. Only information that you choose to import becomes part of your My DJ Bookings data.

Photos and media

If you choose to select a DJ profile image or business logo, My DJ Bookings may request access to the relevant photos or media on your device.

Images that you choose may be uploaded and stored as part of your My DJ Bookings profile.

Calendar integration is optional.

Calendar services are accessed only when you choose to enable calendar functionality.

My DJ Bookings may integrate with supported device calendars and Google Calendar.

When calendar access is enabled, My DJ Bookings may create, update or remove calendar events associated with bookings that you manage through the application.

Calendar information is used only to provide calendar functionality requested by you.

Calendar information is not used for advertising, tracking, profiling or any unrelated purpose and is not sold.

Device calendar permissions can be changed through your device settings.

7. Google Calendar and Google API data

Connecting Google Calendar is optional.

Google access is requested only when you choose to connect your Google Calendar.

My DJ Bookings uses Google OAuth to request permission to use Google Calendar functionality.

Google Calendar access is used only to provide features requested by you, including creating, updating and deleting calendar events associated with your My DJ Bookings bookings.

My DJ Bookings does not use Google Calendar data for advertising, marketing profiles, cross-app tracking, credit decisions or any unrelated purpose.

Google user data obtained through Google APIs is not sold and is not transferred to advertising networks, data brokers or information resellers.

Google user data is shared only where necessary to provide functionality requested by you, maintain the security of the service, or comply with applicable law.

You can disconnect Google Calendar from My DJ Bookings and may also revoke My DJ Bookings' access through your Google Account permissions.

My DJ Bookings' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Features such as Contacts, photos and calendar integrations are optional and are activated only when you choose to use them and grant the relevant permission.

My DJ Bookings uses trusted third-party service providers where necessary to operate the application and provide features requested by users.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is used for cloud infrastructure, authentication, storage and related application services.

Google services are used when you choose to connect Google Calendar.

Apple and Google may provide operating-system, device and platform functionality used by the application.

GoCardless may process payment-related information when supported online payment functionality is used.

Service providers process information in accordance with their applicable terms, privacy policies and data protection obligations.

11. Data sharing

My DJ Bookings does not sell personal information.

Personal information is not used for third-party advertising or cross-app advertising tracking.

Information may be shared with service providers only where necessary to provide functionality that you have requested, operate and secure the service, comply with applicable law, or protect users and the service from fraud, misuse or unauthorised access.

When you choose to generate or share an invoice, the invoice may contain profile, booking, business and banking information that you have chosen to include.

The invoice is then shared with the destination or recipient that you select.

12. Local and offline storage

My DJ Bookings may store a local copy of certain application information on your device so that previously downloaded information can remain available when your internet connection is unavailable or unreliable.

Offline information may include previously synchronised bookings, promoters, invoices, profile information and application preferences.

Local cached application information is associated with the authenticated user so that information belonging to one account is not presented to another signed-in account.

Sensitive banking information is kept separately from the normal offline application cache using secure device storage.

Local application and profile caches are cleared where appropriate, including when account deletion is completed.

13. Data security

My DJ Bookings uses technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, disclosure, misuse, alteration or loss.

14. Data retention and account deletion

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide My DJ Bookings, maintain security, meet legal obligations and support legitimate operational requirements.

You can permanently delete your account from inside My DJ Bookings by opening your Profile and using the Delete Account option in the Danger Zone.

Information may remain for a limited period where required by law, necessary for security or fraud prevention, or temporarily contained in operational backups and system logs.

15. International data transfers

Some service providers used by My DJ Bookings may operate or process information in countries outside the United Kingdom.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, transfers are made in accordance with applicable data protection law and, where required, appropriate safeguards are used.

16. Promoter and client information

My DJ Bookings allows users to store information about promoters, clients and other business contacts.

This information is entered or imported by the My DJ Bookings account holder.

If you use My DJ Bookings to store another person's information, you are responsible for ensuring that you have an appropriate reason and, where required, lawful basis for using that information as part of your business activities.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable data protection law, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including the right to:
